BLOG ON HOLD DURING ELECTIONS

MASS CANVAS

As well as regular surveys conducted throughout the High Peak by Conservatives, we have our 6 monthly 'Mass Canvas' where we get as many people out across the constituency in a single day, knocking no 100's of doors. Yet again it is ag reat success. If you are reading this and did now receive a visit, please go to our survey page and complete our latest residents survey.

STEPPING HILL HOPSITAL

I have been invited to view the new cardiac facilities at Stepping Hill hospital. Whilst the hospital is outside the High Peak, it serves many of our residents, especially in the Central area of the constituency. The new facilties are excellent, and I meet with several members of staff who tell me how the health service is performing at the moment. It always pays to speak with the frontline professionals as it is they who know the real truth about services on offer.

FAIR TRADE FORTNIGHT

Accompanied by my colleague, County Councillor, Robin Baldry, I visited the Fair Trade stand in Spring Gardens, Buxton. I support Fair trade where I can, and I am also very mindful that we shoudl all support our local farmers and food producers too.

POST OFFICES

As the deadline for consultation on Post Office closures gets ever nearer, I continue with my visits to every Post Office in the High Peak. I have already written to each one. Many of them have asked to see me, and today I continue with those visits
